This book on the role of melatonin in psychiatric and neoplastic disorders is edited and written by prominent researchers in their respective fields from universities in the United States and Canada. The purpose is to review the current state of knowledge about the hormone melatonin and its potential role in psychiatric disorders such as depression, sleep and eating disorders, and the possible role of melatonin in neoplastic disorders.
